Future of Work Review

The government has launched another review into the future of work. This new review intends to build on the recommendations of Matthew Taylor’s review under Teresa May’s government, resulting in the Good Work Plan.  This will take in the additional focus of the current government on the UK’s post-Brexit labour market, levelling up, and achieving net zero emissions by 2050.

The review will look at:

  • The link between geography, local labour markets and creating good jobs
  • The role of automation
  • Increasing flexibility in labour markets, while preventing exploitative practices and encouraging productivity.

The review will be conducted by Conservative MP Matt Warman over the spring and summer of 2022. No deadline has been set for a report.  Details of the review can be found on the government website
